In 2006, Gosia Piatek established the ethically conscious clothing company Kowtow in New Zealand. Longevity, waste reduction, and reuse planning are their top priorities. Additionally, they are open about their supply chain, from sourcing materials to manufacturing, and offer repair services (such as Sashiko stitching) to extend the life of clothing. Minimalist design produces high-quality, versatile wardrobe essentials and clean silhouettes. They provide collections of modern womenswear designed to build a modular, long-lasting wardrobe, including dresses, knitwear, outerwear, shirts, tees, skirts, and pants. All of their clothing is made entirely of natural materials, including Fairtrade organic cotton.
